A few weeks ago I got bored and bit off my acrylic nails. Don't do it. Seriously, it hurts. Just say no. I do it about once a year though and always end up regretting it a lot a lot! (I meant to say that twice...it's for effect dontchaknow?)
Anyway - lastnight I got them put back on. (Another reason not to bite them off? It's expensive.) After not having them on for several weeks and having my fingers filed, scraped, pinched and pulled in order to get the nails back on, my fingers hurt. It hurts to type (so why am I telling you this on a keyboard? Ow. Ow. Ow.) it hurts to push the keys on my little tiny blackberry keyboard, and for some reason my acrylic nails feel like horseshoes or something. I guess I got used to having short, trim natural nails because now, even though I have short acrylics, they feel like I'm wearing big pie plates on my fingers...pie plates that weight about 10 lbs each. I'm looking forward to the pain going away so that I can enjoy their shininess again!
Until then? Ow. Ow. Ow.
We leave tonight for vacation (you shouldn't even think about B&E'ing into our house, we have guard cats who think they're rottweilers, yeah. Totally...) and I'm looking forward to weather over 60 degrees and 0% chance of precipitation and...and...and...sunshine. I KNOW, right? That's how you know it's bad. When even I am looking forward to getting away from the cold. I couldn't have moved away from California's weather fast enough, but now I'm looking forward to basking in it for a few days. There's a rumor floating around in my marriage that we might even go to the beach *squeeee* !!!
Pictures are a certainty. Hilarity will ensue I'm sure (When I travel, it's like the circus train moving through town) and I'll be the first one to share it with you.
...if anyone still reads this.
